Through a grant received from The Bower Foundation, MS Gulf Coast Community college plans to offer new education and upskilling healthcare programs to provide growth opportunities for current healthcare workers and to attract new employees interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. The program will consist of the following five in demand credit, non-credit, and workforce programs:

This innovative approach will improve the healthcare labor shortages on the MS Gulf Coast through the development of 21st century career and workforce models.

The mission of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is to meet the educational and community needs in George, Harrison, Jackson, and Stone counties by providing superior instruction through traditional and technological formats to offer workforce pathways, certificates, diplomas, and associate transfer and applied degrees. The College embraces lifelong learning, productive citizenship, service learning, and leadership development in a dynamic and innovative learning environment.
