Sparking innovations in health care learning

Woodward Hines – Get2College

Exposing secondary students to healthcare careers.

Using grant funds provided by the Bower Foundation, Get2College has modified the College and Career Readiness course, given to all graduating high school seniors in Mississippi, to include five healthcare career videos and two healthcare career workbook pages in the CCR curriculum. The Bower Foundation’s goal is to expose high school seniors to the benefits of pursuing a healthcare career.

Woodward Hines Education Foundation’s mission is to help more Mississippians obtain postsecondary credentials, college certificates, and degrees that lead to meaningful employment. Their flagship program is Get2College, a boots-on-the-ground college planning program that provides free college counseling to any person in Mississippi who requests it. Get2College has played an instrumental role in writing CCR curriculum, lesson plans, creating workbooks, and provide trainings for CCR faculty.
